The hotel has a wonderful location right on the beach, with unique rooms featuring ancient details and fantastic architecture. The stay was made extra special with over-the-top service and small perks that made us feel truly welcome. However, the noise from ongoing renovations disturbed our morning peace.

The rooms are in a state of disrepair and lack A/C, but the service is top-notch with access to private Cenote and lagoon. I had a mixed experience at Posada Lamar. The room was huge and only meters from the stunning beachfront, giving it a Tarzan Treehouse vibe, but it was right next to a construction site, which was a bit intrusive at times. My stay at the hotel was absolutely amazing! The rooms were spacious, clean, and had a very Shabby chic vibe, including high ceilings and a beautiful traditional roof. The service was exceptional, with the staff going out of their way to ensure my comfort. The location was just perfect, right on the beach with easy access to restaurants and bars. The dining experience was a wonderful surprise, especially with the beautiful spread of fresh fruits and coffee served on the balcony daily.
The hotel has a unique charm with rooms featuring palm roofs and unsealed windows, allowing mosquitoes in at night. The room is equipped with a ceiling fan and an additional fan, creating a rustic yet characterful ambiance.
My stay at the hotel was fantastic! The rooms were very chic and super clean with water, soap, and clean shower and beach towels. Having a jacuzzi in the room was amazing. The staff was so attentive and went above and beyond to make our experience special. However, the location was a bit tricky to find due to incorrect Google Maps information.
